Given what this cost, I didn't expect much; however, it did perform as advertised. The mount connects to the vents with ease but is a little loose. On the mount I received, the tolerances of the "ball" mount were a little off where the Garmin connection is tough to connect, but is not a snug fit once snapped in. For the money I spent, I'm satisfied with the quirks to keep the suction circles off of the windshield and not having to stick the disk to the dash.

I purchased this just-in-case for use with the PEAK backup camera system. It is not compatible with the PEAK, so do not purchase it for that unit. Likely works fine with other things. I have had a vent mounted phone mount on my car for many years and that works just fine. I did not use this one and can't say if it is any better than what I use now. It is just not compatible with the PEAK and Amazon whould so state on their information, it should not be recommended for use with the PEAK, an excellent unit.

I bought 2 of these for my 2 cars. It's nice because it's discreet from any potential burglar as opposed to the windshield mount where it can be seen from a distant. It holds my Garmin nuvi 255w in place. For the price, it can't be beat.

It won't hold the garmin in a honda accord or toyota corolla. Just doesn't work. Should have know better; can't get anything good for $4.

Decided not to use as directed (decided I didn't want the cold air blowing on my gps) but I use it to balance above my sun viser and it works well here.
