This GPS gave me more feature for the money I paid, comparitively. Initially I worried to buy refurbished, but I dont see any problems on this unit (running fine for 1months).
Cool features I noticed:
1. It has advanced lane guidance, which will tell you in which lane you have be in.
2. It has wide screen.
3. Automatically zoom in and zoom out, acoording to the need. Example: when you need to turn it will zoom in, when you are in freeways it zooms out...etc.
Few things which I am uncomfortable with:
1. It doesn;t have live battery indicator. Battery indicator will come only if its too low... (< 10%). Once indicator comes in you have to plug it wihtin 5mins.
Overall, its a great buy for the money. 5 Stars

I got the gps at the end of June
It's been good for a month.
Big screen, fast calculating.
One day, when I turned it up, it's stuck at the start up screen.
I tried everything from the tomtom website support section
they do not work at all
I called the tomtom first, they made you do everything on the website exactly the same again
because the customer service agent does not know the computer or the drive
they just ask you the model the read out the manul to make you do those again
they do not want to repair the unit for you
I called Amazon, they said it's been a month so I could not return the unit even it's a defective item
amazon told me to contact tomtom directly
I have no choice, so I called tomtom again
Do you know how long they make you to listen to the stupid music?
you need to listen to it about half an hour to get someone to answer your call!
well, as I said before, they make you do everything again, waste you more than half an hour again
then they transfer the call to the warranty dpt
oh~they tell me to ship the unit myself
they don't even provide you a box or a shipping label
tomtom is the first company I met who does not provide a box and a shipping label in the US
how bad is that~it's a defective item and they should provide the service
not by myself, to find a carrier and ship the bad unit to them!~
overall, customer service are really really bad!

Our family has no prior GPS experience to compare to this item but we found it to be remarkably easy to use, stunningly accurate and incredibly helpful while traveling from WV to MN. We did buy a different dash mount (as recommended by other reviewers)and found that to be exactly what was needed for this GPS. Unfortunately, the listing here on Amazon ("What's in the box") did NOT include a charger so we bought one of those, too. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that there IS a car charger in the box, along with the cable required to connect the GPS to your computer. We're still learning how to use many of the features but, based on the experience we've already had, would highly recommend this refurbished item.

Already had purchased one of these (same exact model). I used it while traveling around Mexico, as it had Mexico maps. Works great! I was so confident driving around and through cities like Monterrey and San Louis Potossi in Mexico. Very impressed that it worked all over, even in remote areas. Works great around the U.S. I have an older model that works well still, but this one comes with maps of all of North America (that's Canada, the U.S., and Mexico). I purchased this for an in-law who was facinated and wanted the same unit. He is just as happy as I am. Could not really rate customer support because I have not had to use it. The delivery was fast, and the unit perfect. My old unit is about 3.5 inches. This one is a wopping 5 inches, and it is fantastic! I can't go back to a smaller unit.
